UAE Expat Debanjali Kamstra won the Mrs. Earth 2023 title for the Emirates on 21ST July 2023, championing the UAE’s theme of sustainability at a world pageant.
In her first walk as queen during the pageant hosted in the Philippines’ Okada Manila hotel, Debanjali, the first-ever candidate to represent the UAE at Mrs. Earth, dazzled in a yellow bejewelled gown.
Debanjali, who also represented the UAE in Mrs. World 2021 and was second runner-up, said it was a dream come true.
The mother of two, married to Christiaan Kamstra Musician and Entrepreneur who has been a resident of the nation for more than 14 years, had a great sense of accomplishment when she took the stage as a candidate for the Emirates. Just before she boarded a plane for the competition in Manila, she told Lancashire Gazette that it was the ideal competition because “this is the UAE’s year of sustainability and Mrs Earth (seeks to) promote sustainability in our life, fashion, and other areas of living.”
Debanjali won the pageant over 45 other contenders who were representing their nations, which aimed to celebrate women while combining beauty and environment.
Debanjali is a businesswoman who runs three organizations in addition to being a mother, wife, as of recently, a queen. In 2008, she began working for Emirates Airlines as cabin crew.
In a post announcing her victory, she questioned, “Can you believe that a dream also comes true?” She claimed that “2 years of manifestation and immense hard work with a lot of support” had led to this point.
Her husband, who still couldn’t believe that his wife had finally won the title she deserved, is one of her biggest supporters.
It was “a night I will never forget,” he wrote in a post.
