The ballroom lights may have gone out on the 2021 series but Strictly Come Dancing is back.
The Christmas special will return to screens after two years away – during the pandemic. Last year’s festive edition of the BBC One dance competition couldn’t go ahead.
But it’s now back and another famous face will be getting their hands on the Christmas Glitterball trophy.
Strictly fans will be able to watch the special episode on Christmas Day, December 25, at 5.10pm on BBC One.
Judges Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, Shirley Ballas and Anton Du Beke will be back to cast an eye over the peformances.
We already know who is taking part.
First Dates star Fred Sirieix, TV presenters Mel Giedroyc and Adrian Chiles, The Repair Shop’s Jay Blades, pop superstar Anne-Marie and newsreader Moira Stuart will dust off their dancing shoes for the all-star festive episode.
Each of the six couples will perform a Christmas-inspired routine with the hope of impressing the judges and the voting audience, in a bid to be crowned Christmas champion 2021.
Fred, 49, will dance the quickstep with Australian professional Dianne Buswell during this year’s special to Merry Christmas Everyone by Shakin’ Stevens.
Jay, 51, will be dancing the jive to the Only Fools And Horses musical song Hooky Street with choreographer and dancer Luba Mushtuk.
Comedian Mel will be dancing a couples choice with professional dancer Neil Jones to Ice Ice Baby by Vanilla Ice.
Adrian, 54, will be performing an American smooth to a rendition of White Christmas by Otis Redding with new professional dancer Jowita Przystal.
Anne-Marie will be dancing the cha cha with Graziano Di Prima to a rendition of Feliz Navidad by Gwen Stefani.
Moira will perform a salsa with dance partner Aljaz Skorjanec to Justin Bieber’s Santa Claus Is Coming To Town.
