A teenage girl has been found dead by the side a road in Lancaster in the early hours of the morning.
A huge police and paramedic presence was seen earlier today (April 22) following reports of a sudden death in the area.
Earlier reports were made in relation to the footpath near Carlisle Bridge as police dealt with the incident.

The teenager was found dead on Morecambe Road at around 5:12am.
Her death isn’t being treated as suspicious and a file is to be passed on the Coroner’s office.
A spokesperson for Lancashire Police said: “We were called at 5.12am today (Friday, April 22) to reports of a sudden death in Morecambe Road, Lancaster.
“Emergency services attended and sadly found a teenage girl deceased.
“Next of kin have been informed and our thoughts are with her loved ones at this extremely difficult time.
“Her death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be passed onto HM Coroner in due course.”
