Oti Mabuse has welcomed her first child – and delighted fans by announcing the news on Christmas Day. The Dancing on Ice judge and former Strictly Come Dancing professional shared a sweet family snap with her husband Marius Lepure and their new addition.
She wrote: “Merry Christmas. Wishing you all a wonderful festive season and special memories with loved ones.” The photo showed Oti, Marius and their Christmas baby in festive pyjamas – and their dog Leo looking on.
Messages of congratulations flooded in from Oti’s fans and her celebrity friends. Fellow former Strictly pro James Jordan said: “What a perfect Christmas for all of you – sending love from the Jordan’s” and Dianne Buswell – who reached this year’s Strictly final with Bobby Brazier – wrote: “Congratulations beautiful.” Jowita Przystał said: “Yayayayys !!!!! Oti previously said the couple had been “trying to conceive for a while”. She said she had initially “given up” on trying to conceive because “nothing was happening.
She announced her pregnancy in August, telling her followers on Instagram: “Our “yes” year is getting better and better and so is our little family We feel finally ready and excited to share our wonderful news. This is new for us scarier than swimming with sharks, jumping off cliffs or even swinging from bridges but the best news we could have ever ask for.”
Oti and Marius, who is also a professional dancer, wed in 2014 after meeting during a dance event in Germany. The star left Strictly in 2022 after seven years, going on to become a judge on Dancing On Ice and has also hosted her own dating show Romeo & Duet and ITV Saturday morning show Oti Mabuse’s Breakfast Show.
