South Ribble Police are appealing for witnesses after a number of gravestones have been stolen from a church in Leyland.
Police have said a number of old york gravestones were stolen from St Andrews Church in Leyland.

PC Walker explained: “A van was seen in the car park of the church at 12.30am overnight, some of the stones that have been stolen are from the 1800s and those families are still local to the area so this must be upsetting for them.
“If anyone has any further information that may help please call 101 and quote incident 0401 of January 14, 2022.”
Residents are outraged at the incident with people taking to social media to express their anger.
Ian Ramsden said: “Just when you think you’ve seen the lowest of the low…..
“Let’s hope someone with a bit of decency passes some information.”
Julie Gore added: “Absolutely disgusting, they will be haunted forever for this.”
Georgina Rodgers said: “That’s shocking, I hope if anyone has any information they share it with the police.”
Ra Chel commented: “Absolutely disgusting! No morals, No respect, I hope you find out who it was.”
Lee Johnson further added: “What an absolutely disgusting crime! Let’s hope you catch the perpetrators! This really is the lowest of the low.”
