Jon Dahl Tomasson revealed he had offers to leave Blackburn Rovers but chose to remain at the club.
The Danish head coach was subject to interest from other clubs this summer. Reports claimed Leeds United and Leicester City were keen on his services.
Tomasson was wanted by other European clubs before joining Rovers last summer but he was keen to work in English football. When asked about his future on the back of the pre-season friendly with Accrington, he admitted he’d received offers but chose to stick with Blackburn.
“It is always nice when clubs want you and they think you’re doing a good job,” he told Lancs Live. “I chose to go to Rovers last year. I had clubs who were playing European football, playing in the Champions League. There have also been clubs this season.

“I am part of this project. I am ambitious and I am looking forward to signing new players so we can keep progressing as a club. The fans are the backbone of the club and we need to put smiles on their faces. Last season we did that and we are working hard for that.”
Tomasson has two years left on his contract after signing a three-year deal in 2022. Rovers finished seventh in his debut Championship season.
The head coach wants the club to sign at least three more players this summer, with an emphasis on adding guaranteed Championship goals. Rovers have already signed Niall Ennis, Sondre Tronstad and Arnor Sigurdsson.
