Will Aimson is in no doubt that his former boss Ryan Lowe will do well at Preston North End and believes the squad will take well to his style of play.
Aimson, who is now at League One side Bolton Wanderers, played under Lowe at both Bury and Plymouth Argyle.
Former striker Lowe moved to Deepdale from Home Park earlier this month following the departure of Frankie McAvoy from North End.

Lowe has only had one game in charge of North End so far with a 2-1 win over Barnsley, with the club’s next three games against Millwall, Sheffield United and West Bromwich Albion all postponed because of Covid-19.
But Aimson is pleased to see his old boss being given a chance to manage in the Championship and feels the way Lowe goes about setting up his team will suit North End, given the defender knows some of those in the Deepdale squad.
Aimson said: “I think he’ll do well. Firstly I think he deserves it. He’s had some good promotions. He started brilliantly this year.
“They play a 3-5-2, that’s his philosophy. He wants to play football which I know a few of the players at Preston which can handle the ball well and I think it’ll suit them there.
“All the best to him.”
North End are next due to be in action on January 3 on the road against Stoke City.
