Coleen Nolan “regrets” announcing her cancer diagnosis on Loose Women before telling her sister Maureen first. The Nolans singer left viewers in shock when she shared her health news last month, during a broadcast of the ITV panel show.
And Coleen’s revelation that she has been diagnosed with skin cancer left her previously obvious elder sister Maureen shell-shocked and confused. Maureen, who had not watched the episode live, started receiving messages from friends who had saying “sorry to hear the news about Coleen.”
Upon receiving the concerned messages, Maureen swiftly called her youngest sibling and now believes Coleen, 58, “regrets” her choice to break the news on TV.

Maureen, 69, told The Mirror: “I didn’t see her announce the news on the show, so suddenly I’m getting all these messages saying, ‘Sorry to hear the news about Coleen’.”
“I was so shocked – I immediately phoned her and asked what had happened. I think she now regrets sharing the news on Loose Women.”
Coleen has since admitted she was initially reluctant to tell her sisters about her carcinoma diagnosis as it was “nothing” in comparison to what some of her family had dealt with. The Nolan family, who were raised in Blackpool, has suffered the devastating impacted of cancer over several decades.
Besides Coleen, three of the sisters have been diagnosed with the disease over the years, with Bernie dying of breast cancer at 52 while Linda is currently undergoing treatment after it spread to her brain and Anne is in remission.
