Six food premises across Lancashire have been given low food hygiene ratings in August.
Ratings range from zero to five stars, with zero meaning urgent improvement is required, one-star meaning major improvement is necessary, two-stars indicating some improvement is necessary, three meaning hygiene standards are generally satisfactory while four means hygiene standards are good and five means standards are very good.
Across Lancashire, six businesses were given a zero, one or two star ratings, in August, meaning they need to improve their standards. A takeaway in Preston is the only premises to receive a zero star hygiene rating.
